Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Students,

Education is the catalyst that can help reduce poverty, improve health, develop skills to lead a happy life, eliminate gender inequality and create a sustainable planet. For societies, education drives long-term economic growth, spurs innovation, strengthens institutions, and fosters social cohesion. Education gives people the skills they need to help themselves out of poverty and gain confidence to overcome the challenges in life.

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the P. A. First Grade College, Mangalore - an Academic Wing of the P. A. Educational Trust (Regd.) of the PACE Group, which has its presence in India and abroad. The College is affiliated to the prestigious Mangalore University, Karnataka, and offers undergraduate programmes in Science, Commerce, and Management.

We have a team of talented & dedicated faculty members who strive to impart quality education and enhance the cognitive levels of students thereby preparing them to face the challenges confidently. The campus offers modern amenities for integrated learning which includes digital classrooms, excellent libraries including a digital one, labs, gymnasium and recreation halls, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, etc. The academic program is designed in a way that we would have more invited talks, industry-academia collaborations, talent hunts, sports competitions, and co-scholastic activities including a cultural extravaganza. We have already collaborated with the leading industries and leading education service providers to make the students Industry ready.

The curriculum designed by Mangalore University is one such that it absorbs continuous changes for better adaptability to the industrial scenario in India and the world. As the Govt. of Karnataka has decided to implement the NEP with effect from the academic year 2021-22, the syllabus will be planned accordingly for the benefit of students. We promote our students to make the best use of the time available to them by taking more courses available under the Foreign Language Training Programme, UGC Swayam Massive Open Online Courses, National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning, Harvard Business School, etc. There are active associations and students’ clubs to help nourish their creative talents. There are ample opportunities provided to students under the National Service Scheme, Red Cross etc. to extend their valuable services for humanity. Apart from the add-on courses from the Mangalore University and other certifying bodies, the college has planned many certificate courses keeping in view, the skill enhancement of students.
