Newspaper costume competition

           The Greenaura Environmental Cell, in collaboration with IQAC, organized a spectacular Newspaper Costume Competition on November 22, 2023, at SF-11 and Seminar Hall. Under the coordinator ship of Ms. Najla, Ms. Rosey, Ms. Azweena, and Ms. Ashalatha, Assistant Professors from various departments, the event brought together 54 participants from all academic years to showcase their talent in transforming everyday newspapers into stunning and imaginative costumes. Vol 3 .01 Quarterly Newsletter 28 NEWSPAPER COSTUME COMPETITION Winners: ·1st Prize: Ms. Apsa, Ms. Safa, and Ms. Tabsheera of III year FT demonstrated outstanding creativity with their innovative paper costumes. ·2nd Prize: Ms. Shaharina Shirin and Ms. Fathima Thidil of III year FT, and Mr. Safwan Shaik of III year BBA claimed the second prize with impressive paper costume designs. ·3rd Prize: The team consisting of Ms. Mashooda, Ms. Fida, and Ms. Nihaza from I year BBA showcased creativity and originality, earning them the third prize in the competition. The competition aimed not only to celebrate the art of costume design but also to promote sustainability by repurposing recyclable materials, aligning with the college's commitment to environmental consciousness. The competition featured diverse categories, including "Historical Figures," "Fantasy Characters," and "Wildcard Creations," allowing participants to explore various themes and showcase their creativity. A distinguished panel of judges, including Ms. Shreyanka and Ms. Sreelakshmi, Assistant Professors from the departments of HSS and Food Sciences, respectively, evaluated entries based on creativity, craftsmanship, and effective use of newspaper material.
