          The final year BCom students of P.A First Grade College had visited the Dawar Footwear Industry, Agra on March 1, 2024. Dawar Footwear Industry has emerged as a prominent player in the leather manufacturing sector, specializing in tanning industry eco-suitable tannery practices. It is the second largest apparel producer and exporter, accounts for 9.5% share of India’s total exports. With a robust production capacity, Dawar Footwear Industry produces billions of pairs of leather products annually, translating to approximately 9000 pairs daily. The company employs around 1500 skilled individuals, contributing to its operational efficiency and success. Dawar Footwear Industry prioritizes employee welfare, evident through its provision of Employee State Insurance (ESI) and Public Provident Fund (PPF) benefits. Additionally, the company adheres to international standards, holding ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certifications, ensuring quality and safety in its operations. As an export-oriented business, Dawar Footwear Industry caters to global markets, supplying renowned brands such as Bugatti and Zign. The company's commitment to quality and sustainability has positioned it as a preferred supplier for these esteemed brands. Dawar Footwear Industry sources its raw materials, primarily leather, from regions like South India or Punjab, known for their high-quality hides. This strategic sourcing ensures the production of premium leather products meeting international standards. Upon receiving leather from suppliers or processors, Dawar Footwear Industry initiates a meticulous process to ensure quality and consistency in its products.
