Orientation Program for Certificate Course on SQL (Batch of 2024-25, II SEM BCA)

           The orientation program for the Certificate Course on SQL for the Batch of 2024-25 (II Sem BCA) was held on 17th February 2025 at Computer Lab 2. The event was organized to introduce the students to the course structure and to motivate them as they began their learning journey in SQL, a crucial skill for the modern IT and analytics industries. The program began at 10:00 AM with Ms. Fathimathi Azweena, Assistant Professor, serving as the MC. She welcomed the students and faculty members, setting a positive and welcoming tone for the event. Following the welcome, Dr. Surfraz J. Hasim, Principal of P.A. First Grade College, addressed the gathering. He emphasized the significance of acquiring technical knowledge, particularly in SQL, and how it plays an essential role in shaping the careers of students in today’s competitive job market. Dr. Hasim encouraged the students to approach the course with dedication and a commitment to excellence, stressing that mastering SQL would open up numerous career opportunities in the IT and data analysis fields. Dr. G. Harikrishnan, Vice Principal, took the stage to share his thoughts on the importance of SQL in the current technological landscape. He highlighted how proficiency in SQL would equip students with the skills necessary to excel in the IT and analytics sectors, which are vital to the global economy. Dr. Harikrishnan also reminded the students that developing a strong foundation in SQL would significantly boost their career prospects in the years to come. The final address was delivered by Ms. Harshini Bhat, an experienced Analytics Trainer. Her energetic speech motivated the students to actively engage with the course and take full advantage of the opportunities available to them. She encouraged them to not only focus on theoretical knowledge but also participate in practical sessions and projects to strengthen their understanding of SQL.
