One day workshop on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

           The Department of Commerce, Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri, in collaboration with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), organized a one-day workshop on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) on January 7, 2025, at the Srinivas Mallya Auditorium, MBA Block. The workshop saw the participation of over 120 faculty members and research scholars. The event was inaugurated by the chief guest, Shri K. Raju Mogaveera, K.A.S., Registrar, Mangalore University. Guests of honor, Dr. Pallavi Gupta (Regional Head of Learning and Education - India) and Ms. Althea Lee (Senior Business Relationship Manager - South India), introduced IFRS to the audience. The program was presided over by Dr. Preethi Keerthi D'Souza, Chairperson, Department of Commerce, who delivered the presidential remarks. The resource person, Mr. Prashanth Shankar, ACCA member, conducted an engaging session, covering topics such as IFRS standards, sustainability reporting, Indian Accounting Standards, and the need for IFRS. The workshop also had the presence of notable attendees, including Mr. Suvash Kumar Singh, Manager - Business Relationship, ACCA.
