COASTAL MSME START UP CONCLAVE 2024-25

              On January 4, 2025, the event titled "Business Tonic Tri Shatak" and "Coastal MSME Summit" was organized at Fr. L.F. Rasquinha Hall, St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru. The inauguration was graced by eminent dignitaries, including Shri Captain Brijesh Chowta, Hon. Member of Parliament, Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha Constituency; Mr. Anand G. Pai, President of Kanara Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mangaluru; Mr. D. Vedavyas Kamath, Hon. Member of Legislative Assembly, Mangaluru South Assembly Constituency; and Dr. Praveen Martis S.J., Vice Chancellor of St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru. Special contributions were made by Prof. Harikrishna Bhat Alevoor, former President of HCL Japan and Director of International Collaborations at Nitte University, and Dr. Chandrakanth Bhat, an Investment Consultant based in Dubai. The event celebrated the 300th episode of Business Tonic with a series of insightful sessions. Session 1 focused on "Startup to Scale up" where the panelists shared strategies and real-life examples for business growth. Session 2 addressed "Future of Family Managed Business" emphasizing succession planning and leadership transfer. The speaker highlighted the benefits of family businesses over private sectors. Session 3 explored "Branding and Marketing" with a special emphasis on how AI tools and social media platforms like Instagram and ChatGPT influence consumer behavior and marketing dynamics. The final session, an MSME Townhall, featured direct interaction with experts who elaborated on funding opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The session highlighted various government schemes, with a particular focus on initiatives designed to empower women entrepreneurs. These discussions provided attendees with valuable insights into leveraging nationalized bank schemes and other resources for entrepreneurial success. A delegation of six students, seven faculty members, and the principal of the institution attended the event, representing a strong academic presence. The summit proved to be a platform for networking and knowledge exchange, enriching the participants with strategies and practical tools to contribute to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
