Industrial visit at ACCOLADE TECH SOLUTIONS, MANGALORE

                On 5th November 2024, the third-year BCA students of P.A. First Grade College, Mangalore visited Accolade Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Mangalore as part of their industrial visit, organized by the Department of Computer Applications. The visit aimed to provide students with hands-on exposure to the technology industry, focusing on current trends in project management, career opportunities, and skills development. The students were welcomed by Mr. Harish, the Manager at Accolade Tech Solutions, who conducted an informative and interactive session covering key aspects of real-world software development. Mr. Harish began by introducing the company, highlighting its expertise in software solutions, web development, and IT consulting, and elaborating on the various services it provides to clients across multiple industries. He then discussed the methodologies the company employs for project development, emphasizing agile practices and how teams collaborate to deliver high-quality products. He also spoke about the critical importance of both technical and interpersonal skills in the tech industry. He shared valuable insights on how students can enhance their programming knowledge and improve soft skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. The session also included a Q&A where students received personalized guidance on their mini projects, with Mr. Harish offering suggestions on technologies, project structure, and best practices. The visit concluded with an overview of career opportunities in the tech industry, with Mr. Harish encouraging students to stay current with emerging technologies, work on building a strong portfolio, and gain practical experience through internships. The students were accompanied by faculty members Mr. Sachin Giri and Ms. Janani, who ensured the smooth conduct of the visit.
