ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION ON ACCOUNT OF WORLD FOOD DAY

             On 16 October 2024, as a part of World Food Day, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with the Nutritionora association and Department of Food Sciences organized an essay writing competition. The topic of the competition was ‘Right to foods for a better life and better future’. The competition was held at SF 21 at 2.00 pm, bringing together students from various departments to express their thoughts on critical issues related to food security, sustainability, and nutrition. A total of 22 students participated for the essay competition. The essay writing competition titled "Right to Food for a Better Life and Better Future" was organized to raise awareness about the fundamental human right to food and its critical role in individual and societal well-being. The event aimed to encourage participants to explore the multifaceted issues surrounding food security, nutritional access, and sustainable solutions for future generations. The essay writing competition on World Food Day helped students talk about important issues like food rights and security. It gave them a chance to share their thoughts on hunger, sustainability, and everyone's right to have food. First place is secured by Ms. Ayisha Luthfa Naja from 3rd Year B.Sc (FND) and Second place is for Ms. Sana Mariyam Saji from 3rd Year B.Sc (FND). The competition was coordinated by Ms. Sreelakshmi.S, Assistant professor, Department of Food Sciences.
