Cancer Health Awareness Program

           On 7, November 2024, at 10.30 a.m., the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in association with Youth Red Cross (YRC), National Service Scheme (NSS), and Yenepoya Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital organized a Cancer Health Awareness Program. Dr. Shashikant B K, Associate Professor and Head of Department of Forensic Medicine and Technology, and Dr. Kiran B K, Professor and Head of Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, graced the event as chief guests. Dr. Kiran delivered a comprehensive seminar on cancer among females in Seminar Hall-1, while Dr. Shashikant conducted an awareness session on cancer among men in Seminar Hall-2.During their sessions, they emphasized that tobacco usage, unhealthy lifestyle, and drug addiction significantly increase the risk of cancer. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Surfraz J. Hasim, Principal, Dr. G. Harikrishnan, Vice Principal, Ms. Vanishree Y, IQAC Coordinator, Ms. Sara Maskurunneesa and Mr. Abdul Sameer YRC Coordinator and Ms. Ithashree, NSS Program Officers and Ms. Deepthi Udyavar, HOD Commerce & Management, Ms. Ashalatha Head- Science, along with other esteemed faculty members and 166 students were present during occasion. The program was anchored by Ms. Haifna from 3 rd year BCom, and Mr. Abdul Asmeel From 3 rd year BBA.
