Food Photography Competition on Account of National Nutrition Week

            On 6 september 2024, the iqac, in collaboration With the department of food sciences and the Nutritionora association organized an inspiring Food photography competition to commemorate National nutrition week. The event, held in the Food preparation lab, aimed to encourage Students to showcase the importance of a “healthy Lifestyle” through creative food photography. A total of nine students participated, each Demonstrating their unique approach to Presenting nutritious meals. Under the Coordination of ms. Krithika, assistant professor, Department of food sciences, the event ran Smoothly, fostering both excitement and learning Among the participants.Students were given two-hour window to Conceptualize, arrange, and photograph their Entries. The competition’s aim was to promote Awareness about the value of a balanced diet, Considering both nutritional and visual appeal. A panel of judges, ms. Anfha and ms. Saniya, Assistant professors, department of food Sciences, they assessed the photographs based On creativity, technical skill, presentation, and How effectively they communicated the theme Of a healthy lifestyle. Ms. Beebi sumayya from 1st year b.Sc (fnd) Emerged as the first-prize winner with her Captivating depiction of a balanced meal, Beautifully highlighting the importance of Portion control and vibrant, fresh ingredients. The second prize was awarded to ms. Aysha Thanseeha from 2nd year b.Sc (fnd) for her Creative and colourful arrangement of Vegetables portraying the simplicity and appeal Of wholesome eating. The competition was a resounding success, Providing a platform for students to display their Creativity while reinforcing the importance of Maintaining a healthy diet. The event left a Lasting impact, inspiring students to continue Thinking critically about the connection Between food, nutrition, and aesthetics.
