Essay writing competition on the occasion of World Literacy Day

On the occasion of World Literacy Day, the IQAC and LiteraryrnAssociation of PA First Grade College jointly organized anrnessay writing competition on the theme "Literacy and NationrnBuilding". The event was held at 10:20 am in SF 27 on 9rnSeptember 2024 and saw enthusiastic participation from 30rnstudents representing different streams.rnThe competition aimed to encourage students to thinkrncritically about the role of literacy in nation-building andrnexpress their thoughts and ideas through effective writing.rnThe essays were judged on content, coherence, and overallrnpresentation.rnThe event was a resounding success, with studentsrnshowcasing their writing skills and demonstrating theirrnunderstanding of the theme.rnThe competition was expertly coordinated by Ms. NoorjahanrnBegum, Head - Dept. of Humanities and Social Sciences, andrnMr. Lohith, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Humanities and SocialrnSciences. Additionally, Ms. Laveena and Ms. Sunitha, Asst.rnProfessors, Dept. of HSS, provided invaluable support tornensure the smooth execution of the event.
